Ken J. Mascara is the current sheriff for St. Lucie County as well as all her sworn officers. The St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office is located at 4700 West Midway Road in the city of Fort Pierce.

Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) – The Florida Highway Patrol is a division of the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV) and regulates the freeways in the state of Florida. The FHP's goal is to promote and regulate the safety of the highways and roads through effective policing. The FHP Director Colonel is Gene Spaulding and currently has 1,946 sworn positions to protect the state of Florida. The FHP office can be found at 301 North Olive Avenue on the first floor.
